Creating FTP Subaccounts
This section focuses on creation and adjustment of FTP subaccounts. The domain users are allowed to create, edit and delete FTP subaccounts. FTP subaccounts are available on each domain, and the maximum number of FTP subaccouns is not limited. The default value for the minimum number is 0, not unlimited. This limitation can be changed in the domain's limits.
To create a new FTP subaccount:
- On your Home page, click
FTP Management in the Hosting group. - On the FTP subaccounts tab, click
Add New FTP Subaccount. - Specify the FTP subaccount name in the appropriate field.
- Specify the Home directory by clicking
and select the directory required. Alternatively, you can specify the path in the input field. - Type the new password into the New password and Confirm password boxes.
- By default, the Hard disk quota is set to Unlimited. To set the required parameter, clear the Unlimited checkbox and type the amount of disk space in megabytes into the Hard disk quota box.
- If required, select the Read permission checkbox. The FTP subaccount users will be able to view the content of the home directory and download files from it.
- If required, select the Write permission checkbox. The FTP subaccount users will be able to create, view, rename and delete directories in the home directories.
If you don't grant any permission, the connection to the FTP subaccount will be made, but the home directory will be not displayed for users.
- Click OK. A new FTP subaccount will be added.
To change the properties of an existing FTP subaccount:
- On your Home page, click
FTP Management in the Hosting group. - On the FTP subaccounts tab, click the required subdomain name in the list.
- Specify the changes as required and click OK.
To remove an FTP subaccount:
- On your Home page, click
FTP Management in the Hosting group. - On the FTP subaccounts tab, select the checkbox corresponding to the subaccount name you want to remove and click
Remove Selected. - Confirm removal and click OK. The FTP subaccount will be removed.
